Morrisons recruits Apple marketer to lead e-commerce drive

Simon Thompson is appointed to help the supermarket's take advantage of the digital opportunity.


I have been keeping an eye on Morrisons' lack of digital investment has for a long while now. Looking back, I thought the acquisition of Kiddiecare back in February may have signalled a change in direction for Morrisons but it has been pretty quiet on the digital innovation front. Now with this appointment, it seems the penny has finally dropped. I expect big things from Morrisons in the digital space over the next six months.
